It’s about their impact being positive whilst on the pitch taking into account role/cost/experience etc.
Their availability, appearances based on what they were brought in to do all matter along with performances

@ChrisWo30990144 Not everyone should be measured about being a star player. Whether they were a success though is subjective based on how someone views their performances over all appearances & fee/role etc
Anyone signed will have expectations set, Brooks for example would be different to Kelman

IMO a good game doesn’t make a signing/loan a success, unless they’ve been brought in like Coady to offer the leadership in the dressing room and be a squad player. Fevs & McIntyre weren’t that. Dykes was poor in a team lacking creativity

Mitchell loaned & sold
McIntyre 2 good games from the few he started
Bree injury
Chambers had to be managed
Fevs had 1 good game & started a handful
Dykes had a couple of good games only

Chapple’s scouting ability = picking players up from a. Side that’s been relegated 2 years on the bounce and missed promotion from league 1 last season

You could tell that some players will most likely wouldn’t renew contracts - we’re allowing them to be run down. Last season should be where we identify replacements & move those ones on to maximise fees
Instead they go for £0

Kaminski is not good enough - can’t command a box & loves a parry back to the opposition, sticks on his line
Doc/Cov combo is not dynamic
Lack of pace other than TC in the team
Poor planning letting contracts run down

@SCTMeadSundays @conor_cafc18 In part that’s our own doing. We seem short sighted, going window to window. We let players run down contracts which hurts what we can spend i.e. Small & Kanu/Ramsey seemingly following suit or have spent badly in some cases.
