Aston Villa Football Club would like to take this opportunity to pay tribute to those supporters, former players and staff who we have sadly lost over the past year.
Our Holte Enders in the Sky 💜
This is the final photographs of Phillip Herron 34, crying in his car, literally minutes before taking his own life.
He was a single Dad with three kids, struggling with crushing debt of over £20,000 and was desperately waiting for a Payday loan he'd applied for. But it was paid in arrears, with a 5 week wait time. That wait drove him even deeper into debt, and when he died he had £4.61 in his bank account and clearly couldn't see any other way out.
Like a lot of people, especially men, he kept all of this to himself, nobody else knew how bad things were getting. This poor man even had to tell his children that Santa Claus wouldn’t come this year, and in his suicide note he wrote that they'd be better off if he wasn't around any more.
And now he isn't.
We need to talk more. We need to be kinder. And we need to be a country that helps each other when we need it the most.
🚨🗣️ Udinese striker Keinan Davis: "This racist coward called me a monkey today during the game. I hope the Serie A association will do something about this but we will see🤷♂️"
Sorry, not having North Stand works as the reason to not have a screening at VP. Warehouse is literally on the side of the works where JCB's could be at that point. Holte End is 100 yards away with its own dedicated access for supporters.
Palace are charging £2.50 for a Selhurst screening.
Feels wrong that a sponsored Warehouse is OK to use but club haven't thought about one of the squares in the city to put a screen if VP is unavailable.
Not a good look for thousands who want to be a part of the day.

UP THE VILLA!!

Rio Hammond adds the fifth in stoppage time to make it yet another Derby Day demolition and complete the double over our neighbours.
Get in there, boys! 👊
💰Under Emery, Villa have spent about £300k per point earned. Chelsea c£2.6m, Spurs c£2.4m
💵 Villa net spend under UE about £73m. ‘Big six’ combined: £2.6bn
🤷♂️Isn’t it about time the rules rewarded wins on the pitch rather than off it?

I think any progressive and ambitious Premier League club should now spend whatever they like and push the boundaries way past compliance.
Because if you only receive a paltry fine for adding players who materially helped you win trophies then it's worth it.
Was massively pro spending rules but clubs illegal spending prior to PSR isn't being punished at all and I bet those clubs are pissing themselves, all while clubs with the money to compete with them today are having to audit every fucking toilet roll, with promising home grown players being horsetraded like meat in order to comply with PSR.
Clubs and supporters should always support rules which protect our clubs from themselves at times, but dishing out fines that some clubs can find from the back of the boardroom sofa while directly profiting from the players "illegally" purchased makes a mockery of the system.
Let’s take the roof off Villa Park against Leeds.
The team need as much energy from the stands as possible.
Bring a scarf to the game, hold it aloft when the players enter the pitch and replicate the scenes from the victory over Arsenal.
Help us spread the word.
