I see a lot of posts equating AI's capabilities to a junior or intermediate software developer. This is a mistake. Sometimes they are like your best staff developer, digging into a challenging problem, and at other times, they make mistakes that no junior developer would make.

The two most common strategies I see are: do the same thing we always did, but faster with AI, or cut the team because we can do the same thing with fewer people. There is a better strategy. Use AI to do something that was not possible before.
