Co-host Gwynn & Chris sports talk show 2-6 p.m. on 97.3 The Fan SD, Voice of SDSU sports, hubby

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

What could have been….Manny’s shot was a HR in 19 of 30 ballparks, according to statcast….France’s launch in Game 1 was out of any park without a roof…And so the @Padres 58th season ends, just as the 57 before it….The long-awaited parade waits again….

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

Stat of the day for @Padres vs. Brewers Game 4…Milwaukee is 6-24 all-time on the road in the postseason and has lost 12 straight….Last win: Game 3 of the ‘18 NLCS at Dodgers…the LP that night? (hint: he’s the starter tonight for the Pads)….

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

The right call…Bulldog mentality with season still on the brink…

[Padres PR @PadresPR]

RHP Walker Buehler will start Game 4 of the NLDS vs MIL.

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

The @Padres 2B Jake Cronenworth hit exactly one home run all season against left-handed pitching…. The same number he hit against left-handed pitching last night…
You can put (and keep) this guy on my team any time

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

After the classic Garvey HR, which happened exactly 42 years ago tonight, famed broadcaster Don Drysdale yelled “…and there will be tomorrow!”….the @Padres stay alive tonight….History repeats , right Don?

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

Interesting…with Miller not available, looks like King will try to close it in the 9th…Morejon not warming up

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

Definitely stop by if you’re coming down for the game tonight!! (Skraby loves it when you harass him in person)….😁

[Matt Skraby @MattSkraby]

Don’t know which loss sucked more …Do know that they can’t continue to suck at getting runners home…Have no rah-rah rally feelings right now…Maybe by Tuesday…

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

If we’re going to win today, we’re going to have to do it together…join us for the Game 2 Padres viewing party…

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

September 28, 1542…the day that explorer Juan Cabrillo first sailed into San Diego bay….”You’ll have the greatest weather of any place on earth,” the good Lord said. “But in exchange, your sports teams will be forever unlucky.” Cabrillo agreed..
And here we are @Padres

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

It was probably the unluckiest thing I’ve ever seen in baseball … But honestly, I’d still feel OK if I’m the @Padres … should have won Game 1 despite 12 LOB (the real reason they lost) and 1-for-9 RISP…

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

No changes for @Padres division series roster…Going with 11 pitchers again, Vazquez and Wandy remain sidelined….

[San Diego Padres @Padres]

Our 2026 NLDS Roster:

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

I would have gone with Vazquez as an opener, then the combo of Ray/Buehler to get me to the bullpen…
But, I hope the @Padres are right, trusting the former Cy Young winner…We’ll see…..

[Padres PR @PadresPR]

We will start LHP Robbie Ray in Game 1 of the NLDS.

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

@jonschaeffer Sorry to hear about your Mom, Jon…only sending positive vibes your way — and strength ..

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

Should the @Padres be worried about The Miz in the NLDS? Or this guy?
Dustin May pitched 22 innings against SD this season, and allowed 8 hits and 3 earned runs…

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

Tatis and Merrill discussing Milwaukee travel plans for the @Padres

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]

Ever see so many people this excited to be going to Milwaukee?? The @Padres are moving on

[Chris Ello @ChrisElloSD]
