And its not a law, otherwise him and a million other fans would be in jail. It is the code to showing respect. Anything else is disrespect

@WTimonen Why are you comparing to Hitler. With Hitler it was against the law and punishable. That is not the case here. Disrespect is not the same as breaking the law.

@ProudlyCanadia4 Media didn't give it a bad rap. I know the history of the National Anthem in sports and I know the US Code referencing the National Anthem. Kneeling is not respectful un reference to the US National Anthem

@LindaTubbs6 Kap was never going to reach those who could not see past the disrespect even though he said that wasn't the reason.

It's not just feelings of the flag but per US Code for the National Anthem.

@LindaTubbs6 I never claimed he didn't have the right to protest when he did, I never claimed what he was protesting wasn't an issue.

I do still stand as it being disrespectful and that is based on US Code 36 section 301.
