Not sure which is the more stylish vehicle accessory: the sparkly radiator grille painted onto the front of new electric cars or that little tiger tail we used to attach to the backs of our bikes in the sixties
Quartet in Autumn at the Arcola. Exquisite perfs, exemplary production. Rave reviews tho' one accused it of occasionally 'straining for laughs'. Zero straining when I went. Why do so many critics have a problem with laughs - like the grumpy guest tutting at the end of the table?
Fun fact: These were the main original voices from the Soviet-Russian cartoon Well, Just You Wait! (Ну, погоди!). The cartoon was very popular in Poland as well.
Anatoli Papanov was the original voice of the Wolf, and Klara Rumyanova originally voiced the Hare:
"The 20 UK 'no-go' beaches for swimming this spring revealed - with contaminated waters, sewage and dump waste polluting the sea."
Truly what have we become as a nation when every spring newspapers are having to publish 20 beaches to avoid lists? 🤬

@For_Film_Fans In the early 70s, when a lot of daytime rehearsals happened in empty theatres, it was the preferred lunch option. I always thought it was a bit expensive.
Enjoyed the first Saturday Night Live, but not as much as I enjoyed Justin Edwards' & Dan Tetsell's 60min sketch show at the Canal Cafe last week - more laughs created by 9 fewer actors, 18 fewer writers & 20 fewer producers.
I notice an increase in the number of wispy little moustaches on upper lips after the success of 'Marty Supreme'. Tempted to say, 'Mate, it looks terrible even on Timothee Chalamet who is several stones lighter than you and doesn't have acne.'
Howdy little 'uns! Hurrah for the start of a new season! Which of these smashers will you be spending your pocket money on? Or will you just spunk it on weed pens and borrow someone else's bat?
