@TRIX_trades@BarbellFi Form factor, quality, off-road, comfort, storage, exterior design (to me), interior design (to me), and software, to name a few. I have owned both and I truly prefer everything about the Rivian. Tesla’s FSD is excellent and for now, Rivian does not offer it
I have both vehicles and have owned 5 Teslas and 4 Rivians. I’m telling you, the R2 is the better vehicle. I don’t worry about financing rates anymore, but you’re absolutely correct that Tesla has more incentives on the Model Y to incentive purchase. If price and FSD are the most important purchase decision, I think Model Y is an amazing decision. It’s hands-down the best car-based SUV in the market!
If you value a true SUV form factor, higher seating position, more storage, off-road capacity, and better tech (excluding FSD until Rivian’s is released). Reliability is definitely improving for Rivian and I suspect they’ll be near the top soon, just as they are in customer satisfaction (#1 by a large margin).
I’m a huge Tesla fan! I have have both cars and much prefer the Rivian’s to the Tesla (I prefer the seating position, form factor, storage, etc). For me, every aspect of the Rivian as a vehicle is better, except that the Rivian does not have FSD yet. It will by early 2027 and it obviously won’t be as good as Tesla’s to start. The supercharger network is amazing, but Rivian has full have access to the supercharger network…
I bought both the iPhone, Model 3, and Rivian the day they came out. Rivian is not BlackBerry lol. Legacy OEMs using CarPlay are Blackberry. I highly suggest you check out the Rivian with unbiased approach and I think you’ll be very impressed!
@rayd1475@BarbellFi I have both. For me, I much prefer the Rivian’s form factor, size, and technology stack. Once it has supervised self driving it will be even better
I love @elonmusk more than anyone! He started Tesla to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles. Rivian is accelerating that even faster! I think he wants others to be successful.
@Rivian and @RJScaringe make a beautiful, class-leading vehicle, as does Tesla with the Model Y. Both amazing American vehicles. For the first time in a generation, I am only buying American 🇺🇸
This is ignorant and misleading. It only released the second week of June! Why all the Rivian hate? Original Tesla buyers and investors (I was one, and still love Tesla) were never like this. I wonder what happened…? Rivian R2 is an exceptional vehicle and will be one of the best selling vehicles in the country within a few years
@wholemars What happened? Starting seeing R2 everywhere and it’s making you nervous? Don’t worry! Rivian and Tesla are top of the class. There is plenty of business to go around and the legacy auto makers are the ones who should be scared, not Tesla fans
@Rainnless_@abumalik97@niccruzpatane@Tesla They really aren’t doing anything US EV companies aren’t doing (Tesla and Rivian are doing). They just cost less because of the aforementioned structural advantages…
@abumalik97@niccruzpatane@Tesla Huh? The only reason is because they are cheap. They are cheap because their cost of capital is $0, their business are state-funded, and they have lenient labor laws and low cost of labor lol
Most original Tesla investors are in Rivian because the recognize its outrageously under-valued! It’s not hope, there is a clear plan. To hold Rivian completely responsible for the struggles they faced in their early days is unfair- they had outrageous cost increases and supply disruption that were COVID related. The fact that they survived, and are now thriving, is a testament to their excellent product!
