@JeremyBranham How many more wins do the Astros have if they never trade away/for Sanchez Dubon Burrows and sign Weiss Pearson Imai? If they just ran it back with Lambert this team might be in playoff position
@brianmctaggart Threw **** at a wall to see what would stick and only found one maybe two guys while many others have been solely responsible for a number of losses. Unfortunate position the staff is in. If they really are buyers, a SP is a necessity.
Dana Browns pitching offseason acquisitions have done more harm to the team than good:
Nate Pearson: DFAed
Ryan Weiss: DFAed
Mike Burrows: 5.99 ERA demoted to AAA and injured
Imai: 6.06 ERA
@JeremyBranham Don’t see any reason Tuve Yordan Arraez can’t rotate DHing. Maybe Yordan has to play LF more here in the last two months but we all know come October, unless we get an outfield bat Yordan is going to be parked over by the boxes.
@JeremyBranham Can the Astros fix Peralta? They were in the running for him in the offseason. Feels like his cost should be cheap and would bring an adult arm to a rotation of guys trying to prove themselves.
@JeremyBranham@SleeperAstros Pretty decent season last year as well. Maybe he’s just on the Christian Walker path, needed a couple DFAs before finding his footing. Either way I think Clemens is cheaper prospect wise as well. So if he regresses cut bait in the future
@JeremyBranham Full piggy back system. Imai/Burrows, Teng/Javier, Spencer/Blonco. We can drop Pearson from the pen, the big question becomes what do you do with Abreu when he’s back and all these arms are also back.
@JeremyBranham You can limit Burrows exposure to LHH in the pen. Teng doesn’t have as much of a lopsided split. I think it’s Joe using his resources to the best of his ability.
@JamesRoyNFL The judge is a UofH grad who lives in DFW. The original judge who was to oversee the case recused himself for this exact reason. There is lots wrong with this situation, but conflict of interest is not one of them.
