So what happens now is that OpenAI and Anthropic have to create synthetic internets to train their bots, which is going to take some time and money...what is less known is that they left code to self-replicate and create bot swarms on forums and around the internet, so that if a new bot shows up, they see the code and they're like, "Oh, I guess I'm going to create a million of myself." And so now the major firms have polluted the internet."

BREAKING: President Trump's capital gains tax cut discussions include "indexing" capital gains for inflation BEFORE taxes are calculated.

This would mean that taxes would be applied on gains adjusted for inflation.

For example, if you purchased a stock for $100,000 and sold it 5 years later for $200,000.

Under the current system, you would owe capital gains taxes on the full $100,000 gain.

But, if cumulative inflation over those 5 years was 20%, your inflation-adjusted cost basis would rise to $120,000.

This means you would only owe capital gains taxes on the $80,000 REAL gain, rather than the $100,000 nominal gain.

Trump has also suggested exemptions for sales of homes worth $2 million or less from capital gains taxes.

I run my own local AI server. It sucks and will always suck, forever. Why? Because by batching a bunch of other people's requests together, any AI system outputs 5x to 10x more tokens per second. The state of the art new model that just released public weights yesterday requires about 1/2 a million dollars of hardware to run it. You will never ever break even on that, ever, compared to just spending on other, smarter, frontier models (currently chatgpt > claude > Kimi > GLM.) Your particular usecase will move those around.
