There is now a majority for Brexit in only three seats across the whole of the country. Three. In 629 out of the 632 constituencies across Britain, more people agree with the statement "Britain was wrong to leave the EU" than disagree with it. Magnificent.
@TheEconomist They’re not called gut feelings for nothing. It’s high time to dump mind-body dualism. An anachronism that prevents wholistic approaches to care. See eg ME and Post COVID symptoms and signs now recognised as physical.
Evidence is mounting for a link between the gut and the brain in what is termed the psychobiome—part of the microbiome—that affects how people think and feel
🇺🇦 Quote of the Day:”The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of which are imaginary.” - H.L. Mencken
Solidarity with all protesting on Dartmoor today ✊ Wild camping is being rolled back & nature access commercialised, to the benefit of wealthy landowners & cost of everyone else. We need new laws to extend @Right_2Roam - my Private Members’ Bill would do just that! #RightToRoam
The care home beds being used by hospitals should be paid for by local government but it doesn’t have the funding.
The health needs of the people discharged from hospitals will be provided by primary and community services, which have no spare capacity.
Is this systems thinking?

@maitlis challenges @grantshapps over proposed strike laws for ‘minimum safety levels’ during the ongoing A&E crisis.

BREAKING🚨| The government has announced anti-strike legislation.
When workers democratically vote to strike, they can be forced to work and sacked if they don’t. This is wrong, unworkable, and almost certainly illegal.

I can’t help thinking - all this cash being given to private healthcare companies to “help” the NHS - wouldn’t it much, much more efficient to give it directly to… the NHS. Where there are no shareholders taking profits?
