@GovofCO What are your reasons for appointing Jen Walmer? Was she even vetted? What is your response to her son Sam calling and threatening bodily harm towards @Erin4Parents? Can't wait until you're out of office.
This young man thought it would be cute to find my husband’s cell number and call him to make “anonymous” threats yesterday.
He said things like: your wife is a wh*re, your wife is a sl*t, your wife is a stupid b*tch. He named our names & address and said we would be “spread on the pavement before the day is over.”
Then my local jurisdiction @LarimerSheriff, per usual, brushed it off and claimed it was his “right” to make death threat calls.
(This is all while I had just gotten home to recover from a devastating loss and emergency surgery.)
Sam thinks he’s a big anonymous tough guy … But messing with my husband, especially while I’m in the depths of grief & recovery, was the wrong move, Sam.
I get hate & threats all day, every day … But I would strongly caution everyone else who wants to follow Sam’s lead against messing with my husband and family. **BIG mistake.**
This is Jen Walmer — mother of Sam Walmer, the young man who called my husband Friday, named our family, and said we would be “spread on the pavement before the day is over.”
Governor @jaredpolis appointed her Chair of the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.
I wonder where her son learned that people he disagrees with deserve to be threatened & m*rdered. The apple didn’t fall far…
🚨 WOW. THEY’RE SCRUBBING THE RECEIPTS.
Instead of answering for how Jennifer Walmer — a woman with a long record of inflammatory political rhetoric — was elevated to oversee higher education in Colorado, the state is apparently trying to erase the connection.
Let’s make sure Colorado remembers what the internet doesn’t forget: @jaredpolis appointed Jennifer Walmer to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, where she served as CHAIR.
Now, after her son called my husband, named our family, and threatened that we would be “spread on the pavement before the day is over,” people started looking at who this family is — including the political connections surrounding his mother.
And suddenly Jen Walmer disappears from the state’s webpage?
No. You don’t get to quietly scrub the website and pretend the connection never existed.
@GovofCO@coloradogov and @CoHigherEd should answer the obvious questions:
• Why was Jennifer Walmer appointed?
• What vetting was done?
• Do they condone her violent & hateful rhetoric?
• Do they condone her son threatening to k*ll me and my family?
• And why was information documenting her state leadership role just removed from the website today?
Deleting a webpage doesn’t delete the public record. We saved the receipts.
@GovofCO Coloradans deserve accountability — not a disappearing act.
