@VoteYYJWilliams Here's the easy solution: talk to your kids early and often and sincerely about how it is okay to be gay, trans, or ace/aro. Learn about 2SLGBTQIA people, read books together (just like you read books about different cultures and abilities). No fear means no secrets.

@kpwerker My understanding is that larger publishers faced issues making money with the advent of e readers and Amazon, so they can't afford to operate the way they used to, hence consignment. Have you found a different answer to your question?

@kpwerker Same thing that led to revenue sharing on knitting patterns published online, like Twist? No up-front pay, you get paid if your design sells. Publishers or booksellers don't want so much risk, so they look for other approaches.
