The Iran war isn't just the biggest misstep of Trump's presidency so far, it's one of the greatest strategic blunders in modern American history. The worst part is there is no making things better, only worse, and the longer we keep at it the worse it's going to get. There is no chance for 'victory' here, at all. There never was. Best case would be to stop cold turkey, cut our losses, and get the best deal we can to keep the Strait open, but it would take a lot of courage and pragmatism on the part of our leadership to do so.
