Sunday is Cap Classique day: corks will pop! Fastest growing category in SA, production runs to almost 11 million bottles annually, "only" 3 million of which are exported. So, local's definitely lekker. If the Boks succeed, it'll be another reason to celebrate. @CapClassique_SA

To place my flood of @DecanterAwards tweets in context: 18250 wines from 57 countries. Just FIFTY were awarded Best In Show, and there were only 125 Platinum medals. So South Africa's 2 Bests and 3 Platinums are big wins! @WOSA_ZA @StellWineRoute @ChristineLundy #DWWA2023
