@jason_blum Can we get some appreciation for Haley Johnson and Under the Shell? She was there every day of production and created one of the greatest work environments that myself and the rest of the crew have ever been a part of. None of this would have happened without her.

YouTuber #CurryBarker grossed 5.6M on #2 BIGGEST 2nd WED of ALL TIME for horror, up incredible +74.3% from first TUE (vs #SINNERS 6.1M, -14.2%, #TheSixthSense’s 3.4M, -18.9%), despite adding just+40 theatres last FRI, now playing in just 2.655.
It hits a 73.5M cume in the US!
Don’t get shocked if the film ends up going up again on 3rd weekend, if it survives the blow from #Backrooms - and if #Focus resists the temptation of putting it on digital too soon.
The film itself had a ridiculously low under 1M production price tag, and #Focus paid only 15M to acquire the global distribution rights from producers (sans France, Russia, Australia & NZ).
Both sides seeing their investment paying off greatly.
100M+ mark coming this weekend already.
I’ll wait until the weekend to update projections depending on his hold against #Backrooms, but a 130M run which seemed the ceiling, might not even be the floor anymore. @Millexcel2 I don’t know where this narrative keeps coming from. We’re very thankful to Blumhouse and Focus for helping us reach this large audience and for pouring their heart and souls into the marketing campaign, but this film was signed, sealed, and delivered long before they heard of it
@Millexcel2 Absolute bullshit. Blumhouse had no creative input on this film. Focus had no creative input on this film. Curry Barker, Haley Johnson, Cooper Tomlinson, James Harris, Christian Mercuci, Taylor Clemons. Those are the people who made the film, along with my fellow department heads
