BEFORE YOU TURN 35, DENIAL SHOULD EXPIRE.
A short but necessary thread for Nigerians who want more than complaints and “God when?”
Ask yourself: Am I building a life or just surviving each month?
If income stops today, what stands?
No savings. No skills. Just “Happy New Month” broadcasts.
That’s not adulthood, that’s autopilot.
You earn ₦300k, but by the 10th it’s gone.
School fees, family support, emergency “please help me” transfers.
You’re busy sacrificing… but who is actually growing because of you?
If everyone depends on you and nobody is improving, it’s a time bomb.
Being the only “okay” person among many struggling adults leads to BP, resentment, and burnout.
Either pull 2–3 people up deliberately… or create distance.
What bad habits have you normalised?
Debt. Chaos. Poor sleep. Late-night alcohol. 2am semo.
“Na so life be” is not wisdom, it’s surrender.
Your body and mind are assets. Treat them like it.
Connections fade. Titles expire.
What skill can feed you anywhere?
When the free money stops, can you still eat?
Start learning now. You’re not late, you’re just early to your second life.
Ask the scary one:
If nothing changes in 5 years, would you be proud?
If that question shakes you, good.
That’s not insult, that’s information.
That job. That relationship. That lifestyle.
If it’s not working, make a 2–3 year exit plan.
Quietly. Intentionally. No noise.
Hope is not pretending.
Hope is planning while things are hard.
Start where you are.
Use what you have.
Do what you can.
Which question hit you the hardest, 1 to 5?

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. dedicated his life fighting for equity and justice. He taught us that even in the face of intimidation and discrimination, we must never stop working towards a better future – a lesson that feels especially relevant today.
Change has never been easy. It takes persistence and determination, and requires all of us to speak out and stand up for what we believe in. As we honor Dr. King today, let’s draw strength from his example, and do our part to build on his legacy.
Nigerian Startup Terra Industries Raises $11.75M for Autonomous Security Tech
🇳🇬Proud Nigerian moment.
Abuja based Terra Industries formerly Terrahaptix founded by 22 year old Nathan Nwachuku and 24 year old Maxwell Maduka has just raised $11.75 million in seed funding, one of the biggest seed rounds for an African startup.
Led by U.S. venture capital firm 8VC, founded by Palantir co founder Joe Lonsdale, the funding will drive the expansion of their autonomous defense systems including drones, unmanned ground vehicles, sentry towers, and AI powered software ArtemisOS designed to protect critical infrastructure such as power plants, mines, and more across Africa.
They are already securing approximately $11 billion in assets including Nigerian hydropower facilities and mining sites in Ghana, tackling insecurity with homegrown technology. Their goal is to become Africa’s first true defense prime.
Nigerian youth are highly creative and industrious. Africa is blessed.
