I tried Buddha
It was interesting, glimmers of truth, no substance.
I tried meditation
I could not escape myself.
I tried drugs
Empty fun, not much more.
I tried Jesus
And He filled my life with peace and hope,
Set my precepts on the horizon,
And helped me to move forward.

a difference in christian and pagan worldview, in paganity all human interactions and all interactions between humans and gods are transactional, commercial, beurocratic - contract based. christianity is the only tradition that rips up the contract, trust is freely given
Lauda Sion, the beautiful sequence of Corpus Christi, in honor of the Most Blessed Sacrament. “Sion, lift thy voice and sing; praise thy Savior and thy King!”
@Susie5824145442@praytherosary@realDailyWire@MattWalshBlog "We pray for ourselves, we do not pray for our mothers" - the inward version of that thought.
If we are commanded to honor our mother and father, how much more (or less) does that apply for the mother of God?
@jess_do_it_x@LilaGraceRose Her values are that being alive is good. We all accept that this value is, in fact, true and good in most aspects of life, and yet we insist on blinding ourselves to the inherent inhumanity of literally sacrificing children for more convenient service to corporations.
But go off
Abortion is so incredibly charged, because for the millions who have had an abortion to acknowledge they killed a child is unbelievably psychologically devastating. The only solution to this deep, primal, buried pain is the grace, total forgiveness and healing of Jesus Christ.
14/16 @elonmusk is not beholden to conservatives. He has the right to run his business as he sees fit. But if Twitter is going to throttle one side of one of the most important debates facing society, it cannot claim to champion free speech.
@NBronxite @FillmoreLucky@darwintojesus@hugh_bothwell And trying to disprove God does not absolve you from the sin of using a starving child as a tool for you to gain internet argument points.
May God have mercy on your soul.
@NBronxite @FillmoreLucky@darwintojesus@hugh_bothwell God helps people and commands they help others.
Your first sentence provides God with magic powers that literally no Christian (save perhaps a couple backwoods cults) know Him to have.
Our God rests in reality, your vision of him aligns with no sort of reality.
@NBronxite @FillmoreLucky@darwintojesus@hugh_bothwell "The world's problems are not solved therefore no God"
You really did stop paying attention in your third year, huh?
@NBronxite @FillmoreLucky@darwintojesus@hugh_bothwell Wait, so should I care about the starving child? Or are there too many people on the planet? Surely one solves the other from your POV?
@NBronxite @FillmoreLucky@darwintojesus@hugh_bothwell If that's all you think you googled a starving chold for, then I wish you to reexamine yourself and the way you approach other people. The internet seems to have rotted your humanity
(which, incidentally, makes it much harder to perceive God. Again, speaking from experience.)
