@purplekangaroo@spikely94 I use a browser extension that auto-blocks everyone who paid for a blue checkmark. I'm on my phone now, so it won't affect you though
@Owlizabeth@Typerighting I played ME1 seven times within two years and read all the novels. Then I pre-ordered the overpriced worthless ME2 collector's edition, it took me a year to finish it, and I've never even touched ME3
@valytracks_ Consumption has changed in general. I used to have 10 games on my shelf that I replayed for eternity and figured all the controls, strategies and secrets out myself. Now I'm sitting on a 1000 games Steam library and just want to tick the games off after a long day of work
@JoshStrifeHayes Ubisoft crafts beautiful worlds, but the only time they also filled it with fantastic side content was Watch Dogs 1. It's one of those games, like Assassin's Creed 3, where your opinion highly depends on whether you explore the optional content or just rush through to the story.
@FPSthetics Not every FPS needs a reloading mechanic
FPS can be a power fantasy and still be difficult
The market is flooded with mid FPS because devs forget to build their games on original ideas
FPS focus too much on war and sci-fi and should get inspired by the diversity in TPS
@resurrecti0ns I'm in STEM and pay a lot of attention to how I word things when I write a paper. I think the reason why so many people in STEM replace that with AI is because to them, writing is kind of a necessary evil; they spend most of their time experimenting, not reading/writing
@3DPrintRockets@AntonHand Remember the "Generate your own story" website (I think it was based on GPT3, i.e., pre-ChatGPT) where it turned out that the model was trained on fan fics and kept automatically turning stories into CSAM? 💀
@theogramme_dev Anything that wastes my time. Unskippable cutscenes, checkpoints instead of quick save, waiting for timed events to happen, slow companion NPCs, audio logs I can't listen to while exploring, endless repetitive grind, overly long animations or death screens before I can retry, ...
@EZE3D The problem why so many people support "AI art" is because they see art as a product, not as a process. You cannot detach art from the artist because this process is always influenced by thoughts, feelings, experiences, and time. But AI strips away exactly that.
