With 3 min 52 sec remaining, Mark Daigneault called timeout and made the adjustment that won the Thunder Game 4.
Nembhard had been guarding SGA extremely well. Thunder used the same action 3x to get Nesmith to switch, Shai kept scoring/getting the foul call.
Imagine telling these two, nine years ago while they were grinding in the G League, that they’d be heading to an NBA Western Conference Finals together one day.
@DownToDunk That Reddit question about which OKC roster you would vacation with deserves to be answered by the FriPod crew. I would add 2 follow-ups: 1) How would you handle the players under 21? 2) How would you handle Mitch McGary?
@DownToDunk I love Mark more than anything, but how do you justify having Chet and Dub on the bench at such a pivotal time in that game? We missed shots but it’s really hard for me to not attribute rotations toward that L.
@JonMHamm Hey me too! You just gotta watch out for pesky Bulls fans who throw pennies at you after you celebrate a bit too much when a Chet 3 clears the Thunder bench.
@SamPrestiGM Agree on Chet. I was there. Sucked I didn't see any dunks or blocks, but that's expected against Vuc and Drummond. He made them pay with his unexpected skillsets of on-ball defense, ball handling, passing, and range. It's a huge luxury that this is truthfully "as expected" for us
@ChetHolmgren, my highlights watching you ball:
1) I think your uncle came to wanting to take a photo with your parents. Sucks we couldn’t make that happen 😓
2) Getting a penny thrown at me after I let ‘em know a little too hard who hit that late 3.
Keep betting on yourself💪
