Narcissists will abuse their victims to the breaking point, and then act like they’re the ones “trying to get away” or “trying to set boundaries” from their victim.
They will often try to illicit a reactive response that they can use to paint their victim as the problem, but even when the victim doesn’t react, doesn’t lash out, doesn’t “act crazy” — the narcissist still manufactures a story where they’re the one needing to “escape” or “set boundaries” from their supposedly toxic victim.
The narcissist needs others to believe this in order to maintain their image and avoid accountability.
@Son_ImSleep Yt music execs have told Black rappers to never have lyrics that speak against cops or that include slurs against whites.
But sure, music doesn't influence anything.
When a narcissist has targeted you, even a calm, measured response gets reframed as “attitude” or confrontation—because they need you to be the problem.
