St. Boniface, Bishop, Martyr, from Devonshire England. Set forth with papal authority to preach to the German tribes, thus became the apostle and first archbishop of the Germans. He, with 52 other Christians, suffered martyrdom in 754-755. Helped shape the Latin Church in Europe.
CORPUS CHRISTI. The feast of Corpus Christi was proposed by Thomas Aquinas, Doctor of the Church, to Pope Urban IV, in order to create a feast focused solely on the Holy Eucharist, emphasizing the joy of the Eucharist being the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ.
Saints Marcellinus, Peter, Erasmus, Martyrs. Marcellinus was a prominent Roman priest and Peter was an exorcist. Erasmus was a bishop from southern Italy. All three steadfastly endured Diocletian's persecutions. Used their time in chains to evangelize. Included in the Roman Canon
Saint Angela Merici, Virgin. Founded the Ursuline Order, the first teaching order of women in the Catholic Church. She pioneered revolutionary, non-cloistered religious communities, empowering women to educate vulnerable girls and transform society from within their own families.
QUEENSHIP OF THE BVM. LET us all rejoice in the Lord, celebrating a feast in honor of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary: at whose solemnity the angels rejoice and join in praising the Son of God. Grant us by her assistance, obtain peace in this life and glory in the next.

St Mary Magdalen dei Pazzi, Virgin. Took vow of virginity age 10. She served as a novice mistress and was deeply loved by her sisters for her compassionate guidance, earning her the title: Mother of Charity. Sweet perfume to this day is given out by her pure and incorrupt remains
St. Augustine of Canterbury. Sent by Pope Gregory the Great with forty companions to England in order to convert that land to the Faith. The result far surpassed the expectations of the Pope, for God set his seal on the preaching of St. Augustine by so great a number of miracles.
Saint Bede the Venerable, Church Doctor, English. Trained 600 scholars, who were attached to him by his piety, learning, and sweet disposition. He left beautiful lives of Anglo-Saxon saints. St. Bede passed no time in idleness, never ceased to study, read, write, think, and pray.
PENTECOST TUESDAY. The Church especially celebrates the glories of the grace of the Holy Ghost + His secret work of sanctification in the Mystical Body of Christ. In the verse for the Communion the words of Our Lord: "The Spirit who proceeds from the Father, He shall glorify me".
PENTECOST MONDAY. Today's Gospel shows the immense contrast between God and man. God so loves the world that, in order to save it, He sacrifices His only-begotten Son, whilst mankind repays this supreme love with ingratitude and obstinately chooses darkness rather than light.
PENTECOST SUNDAY. On this day Christ, risen from the grave + seated at the right hand of the Father, communicates His own divine life to the members of His Mystical Body through the outpouring of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost descends in power to vindicate the innocence of Jesus
Vigil of Pentecost. Though Baptism is distinct from Confirmation, the latter takes its name from the Holy Ghost descending into the neophyte's soul to complete the work of supernatural regeneration. Through its sacramental nature it confers a more perfect likeness to Jesus Christ
Saint Antoninus (May 10). Set an example of fervent pastoral zeal, joined with the love of study and of the most austere virtues of the cloister. With Fra Angelico (also a painter) and Bartolomeo di Fruosino (also a miniaturist), he was sent to Cortona to make his novitiate.
St Peter Celestine, Pope (May 19). Founder of the Celestine Order. Living in mountain solitude, he was called to Rome by his election to the Pontificate. Both during his pontificate and after his humble abdication, he worked many miracles. Until Pope Benedict XVI, last to resign.
St Bernardine of Siena. Franciscan friar who devoted his life to the saving of souls. He it was who started the devotion to the Holy Name of Jesus. Renowned for his boundless energy, bringing peace. Patron of advertising, public relations, chest issues. Named - San Bernardino CA.
St. Pudentiana, Virgin. She is traditionally remembered for her intense charity, aiding the poor, and burying executed martyrs. Daughter of Roman Senator St. Pudens (converted by Sts. Peter & Paul + mentioned in St. Paul's Second Letter to Timothy) and the sister of St. PrΓ‘xedes.
