The answer is plain and simple. The way Irish men treat and abuse women is accepted, normalised. And the silent bystanders that watch them do it. Legislation needs changed, more prosecutions, women need to be listened to and protected by the PSNI. Women need to be believed and every case taken seriously.

I’ve worked with women’s aid for years and I’ve dealt with the most vindictive evil men for the past two years for the crime of believing a Women when she told me about her abuse. Weak men hate strong women. Strong men protect women.

The thing about this is, grown ass adults in departments consciously made the decisions that have brought about this failure in service & thought it was ok! It’s absolutely not & if all of our MLA’s have any backbone they need to start standing up for those who need it the most!
