I finally finished the Elden Ring DLC (yes I am very slow), and to no one's surprise - the Abyssal Woods was my favorite area. I love the oppressive atmosphere of the woods and the manse.
I teach American political history for a living.
It's futile comparing what is happening in American politics right now to any other time in American history. There is no other time in American history quite like it.
That's also why it's so scary to live through.
And THAT commitment, will not only save them from intellectual property woes but will give them a competitive edge. Hell yeah!
(I hope to see this commitment employed on your store Nintendo! Too many GenAi games in there )
This really is the one-two-punch of AI.
Copyright was SUPPOSED to make you feel safe in sharing your work with the public while retaining some protection. AI companies ruined it.
People are now afraid to share art, and the commons are flooded with slop.
Why would anyone pay money for minimal-effort games created by taking shortcuts when they could have something purposeful and human-made instead, designed by skilled creatives? The only people who want this are CEOs and shareholders, not the staff and certainly not the players.
okay so, this comes up every single time I publish a video where people can see and hear me speak
I know I haven't said this publicly yet, because the whole point is that I don't want to talk about it (I might delete this tweet in a couple of days) but let me just spell it out explicitly:
I don't talk about gender anymore, people get bizarrely personal about it, and so I'm just not open to talk about it
I'm so tired of the comments, every single time I appear in public, and I don't appreciate people openly speculating or asking really personal questions, or asking about things I haven't openly talked about for years, *even if it's a positive message/comment/sentiment* (in fact, this is the majority of cases)
yes, I used to talk about these things openly years ago, but, for many reasons, including personal ones, I don't anymore, and I don't want people to categorize me based on things I'm, again, not open about
I *am* open with many things in my life, and whatever I'm actively public about is totally fine, but this is not one of them
it would be nice if people could respect that, thanks ❤️
So many people worked so hard to make this patch a reality, even after they learned Arkane was closing. I am so immensely proud of the Arkane team and will treasure my time with them forever.
Back to messing around with some dungeon wall ideas in #GodotEngine. Randomzing the tiles in the shader based on their positions, but still allowing them to snap together.
