If these ideas excite you as much as us, you might want to check out this recent post on our blog where we talk about some core principles of one-to-one learning.

Last year @teb_logan interviewed @andersenske, a bildung philosopher, about horizontal (knowledge-based) learning and vertical (developmental, moral) learning. It’s an absolute must listen for anyone who thinks about education.

The factory model of modern education is soul crushing. We agree 100%. But, in this recent essay @drjane argues that actually we do need a factory model, at least in the sense of achieving scale and equitable access to learning.

@shorejaneshore@synthesischool@nuvustudio@Workspaceedu@rebelEducator In the 1980s Bloom described the 2 Sigma problem: 1:1 learning drove 2x results. A problem because how could you scale 1:1 learning in the 80s? Flash forward post internet and post pandemic and we're able to do exactly this. It's a great moment in education.
