Let's talk about sprouts in FFXIV.
They're new players who... have a sprout over their heads. That sprout becomes something like a comfort blanket.

Nero employees multiple lalafell to carry his hammer around and drop it from the ceiling for intimidation purposes.
They're also rumored to have wires attached to his armor for emergency evacuations
