Out in the rain today? ๐ง Driving while it is raining may result in reduced visibility. To ensure that you are safe, use your headlights so that others can see you and slow down to prevent hydroplaning.
School will be starting next week! If you're driving this year, congrats!๐ Remember that Indiana law says drivers in both directions must stop when school buses pick up/drop off children.๐This law applies to all roads except those divided by a physical barrier/ unpaved median.
Risky driving isnโt worth the risk. Local roads are more dangerous than highways for speeders. In 2020, 87% of all speeding-related traffic fatalities occurred on roadways with speed limits lower than 55mph. #StopSpeeding
Did you know that it is the law to move over/slow down for stalled or emergency vehicles along the shoulder in Indiana?๐จThis could include law enforcement, tow trucks, or a driver with a flat tire. Violations could lead to a consequence of a suspended license for up to 2 years.

Slow down when there is heavy rain.
Don't drive on bald tires.
If the water is deeper than your tire treads, slow down.
