@Smwathi_ You say 4 million likes it is a small figure
Only 2.5% of Kenyans have more than 100k in the bank. Now think of 4 million
Let's get out of the bubble. Most Kenyans are poor https://t.co/cIxRszJQL2
Immortality isn’t physical at all. Men achieve permanent life through remembrance of their art. Aristotle did it on zero budget papyrus paper. Bryan Johnson got billions but still feels like a low impact male.
Lesson in there
Mom who left her 16-months-old daughter home alone while she went on vacation for 10 days, leading to the demise of the infant, is sentenced to life in prison.
If you're young and discovered Money Twitter and the Bowtied Community, you are blessed, and here's why:
Your 20s are fucking hard for most, they are an adjustment.
They are the first time in your life that your path hasn't been completely laid out for you and everyone you know. Until now, everything has been organized for you from school to extracurriculars, to social events, friend groups, and even social interactions to meet girls.
Maybe you even had older siblings who you could look ahead to and learn from their mistakes, or hear about what was coming up next for you in life. In hindsight, it was so easy.
You have basically been handed everything that you need to grow and learn how to function in this thing we call life. You're being handheld.
In college, you were thrown into a dorm with tons of other people your age. Maybe you were in Greek Life and were gifted with an incredible social life with tons of insane parties and hot girls just by showing up each week with a case of beer in hand. Meanwhile, all you have to do is simply go to class and not fail out until you get a degree.
Your 20s are different. The playbook you followed from preschool to your early 20s is completely gone and you are thrown into the real world.
Everyone goes down a completely different path. Your friends move, they meet other friends and their partners, and things change drastically. You grow out of old friendships as people go further down their paths and see each other less frequently and are forced to make new ones without your safe structure and social life being handed to you.
Some people get married and start a family at age 22, while others become world travelers and take a gap year in Europe. Some become successful entrepreneurs and make millions of dollars at a young age (hint), while others head down the corporate rabbit hole and stay on the traditional path.
Meanwhile, you realize (hopefully) that everything is, and always has been on you. There's no one coming to bail you out, everything that you are right now is because of you and the actions that you've taken up until this point. It's a sobering reality check.
But for you guys who discovered this corner of Twitter, you already knew that.
And you were rewarded with a community of people who are ahead of you in life showing you the way to not just a good life, but a .0001% life that most dream of.
A community of people who have forged a path for you to follow that you can learn from, connect with, and provide value to progress in life. A path that with a little work and self-education, can give you a life with a top 1% income, time, and location freedom at a young age while living a fulfilling life.
Most people don't have cartoon bulls like BTB telling them exactly what career path to follow, internet businesses to build on the side, and coins to buy to make them rich.
Most people don't have guys running 8 figure businesses giving out the playbooks to start them from scratch sharing every step of the way.
Most people don't have cartoon experts in health and fitness telling them exactly what they need to do in order to get their health in a place where they can live a good life and perform their best.
Then again, most people wouldn't take any of this advice if it was spoonfed to them or be willing to do the work, but that's beside the point.
This side of Twitter gives you a path during a period of your life where you do not have one, and if you didn't grow up wealthy or with great connections to other successful people you didn't have anyone else to show you the way.
So be grateful, put in the work, and when you succeed be sure to give back to the next generation of young Twitter autists who are eager to get ahead in life and need someone who's blazed the trail to show them the way.
Halo is the optimistic opposite of this. its the 2550s and Africa still has healthy jungles, savannahs, and charismatic megafauna are still extant, all while global south nations like Kenya have become developed enough to construct megacities
Dear Friends,
This weekend I worked with a group of nearly 50 high profile Kenya based individuals and organizations in crafting and launching an Avaaz campaign to Tanzania’s President Suluhu to ban hunting of elephants in the Kenya cross border area in order to save the Amboseli elephants
https://t.co/VNSwWkxZe8
Four more elephant trophy hunting permits have recently been issued and we could lose a significant part of the Amboseli big Tusker genes if we don’t stop this.
Please sign and share the petition.
Thank You in advance
Paula
