Council on International Mediation (CIM) President @NawafAlThani participated last week in the @RUSI_org Land Warfare Conference 2026 at Church House, Westminster.

Speaking on the panel “Air Defence from Complex Threats,” he addressed the current regional conflict, the prospects for renewed peace talks, and the need to prevent a wider war in the Gulf.

The conference, held in partnership with the British Army, brought together senior defence officials, military officers, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders from across the UK, NATO, and beyond.

CIM remains committed to dialogue, mediation, and the peaceful resolution of conflict, especially in moments when diplomacy is most urgently needed.

شارك رئيس مجلس الوساطة الدولية (CIM)، @NawafAlThani، الأسبوع الماضي في مؤتمر الحرب البرية 2026، الذي نظّمه المعهد الملكي للخدمات المتحدة @RUSI_org في تشيرش هاوس، وستمنستر، لندن.

وتحدّث خلال جلسة بعنوان «الدفاع الجوي في مواجهة التهديدات المعقّدة»، حيث تناول الصراع الإقليمي الراهن، وآفاق استئناف محادثات السلام، والحاجة الملحّة إلى منع توسّع نطاق الحرب إلى الخليج.

وقد جمع المؤتمر، الذي عُقد بالشراكة مع الجيش البريطاني، نخبة من كبار المسؤولين الدفاعيين، والقيادات العسكرية، وصنّاع القرار، والخبراء، وممثلي القطاع الدفاعي من المملكة المتحدة وحلف الناتو وخارجه.

ويؤكد مجلس الوساطة الدولية التزامه بدعم الحوار والوساطة والحلول السلمية للنزاعات، خصوصاً في اللحظات التي تصبح فيها الدبلوماسية أكثر إلحاحاً.
