We're currently harvesting pumpkin for a return of 60c per kg. Besides growing & harvesting costs we have a 31% fuel levy on top of our freight bill atm. At Woolworths yesterday pumpkin were selling for $4.90/kg. Go figure.

It's hard to fathom when farmer's incurr all the growing, harvest, packaging & freight costs and their produce is being sold for a substantial percentage more in the supermarkets.
