Cincinnati Gardens would have turned 75 today. It may be gone but it’s not forgotten. I have a treasure trove of memories that keeps Cincinnati Gardens alive.
and @TheAHL Cincinnati Mighty Ducks (1997-2005), not to mention the Cincinnati Shrine Circus and a plethora of great rock and country concerts.
We mourn two great icons in Cincinnati pop culture lore. Rest in peace to Gerry Robinson and Joe Jagoditz.
The two men who were most responsible for what turned out to be the renaissance of the @CincyGardens in the late 1970's, both passed away within the past couple of months.
Gerry Robinson passed away in September of this year. He purchased the historic but dormant Cincy Gardens.
and was most notably home to Xavier University basketball, including many memorable Crosstown Showdown games. During Gerry and Joe's tenure, the Gardens also helped to revitalize professional hockey with the original @ECHL /IHL Cincinnati Cyclones (1990-1997)
