A Guatemalan national with a rap sheet U.S. immigration law was supposed to keep out of the country pleaded guilty in federal court Monday to illegally reentering the United States — after nearly k!lling an American nurse on her way to work.

𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐳-𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚 crossed the center line on Princeton Glendale Road in Liberty Township, Ohio, last November and slammed head-on into the car of 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐲 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐳, a 28-year-old Cincinnati Children's Hospital nurse driving in for her shift. Steinmetz suffered a shattered vertebra that left her spine unstable for 24 hours before emergency surgery, a fractured sternum and a broken wrist on her dominant hand.

Perez-Ventura was already supposed to be gone. He was deported near Houston in February 2019, then came back and racked up 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐎𝐕𝐈 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐮𝐥𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 before this crash. A Butler County court convicted him of aggravated vehicular assault and sentenced him to four and a half years in May.

Federal prosecutors in the Southern District of Ohio didn't stop there, charging him separately with illegal reentry, a case that now carries its own additional prison time on top of the state sentence.

Here's how Congress can force Fauci to talk: a Congressional grant of immunity.

Fauci's ego is so massive that I doubt he'd ever tell the truth. That's why he pled the Fifth, to ensure that he couldn't be incriminated for any new lies to Congress.

But that's where the Congressional grant of immunity comes in. It would guarantee that Fauci CAN'T face consequences for anything he says to Congress. So, he can't plead the Fifth. He would either have to answer the questions or go to prison for contempt. And this time, even if he lies through his teeth, @RandPaul has the receipts to prove him wrong.

It may mean that Fauci never faces justice for what he did during the pandemic. But at this point, the transcript is more important than the handcuffs. America deserves to have this story settled once and for all.
