Fjord n'est pas un film de droite, au pire c'est un film centriste mais la force de l'œuvre vient justement des émotions positives qu'on ressent pour des homophobes évangélistes quand un système autoproclamé progressiste (en réalité raciste et paternaliste) les agresse.

C'est moins manichéen et surtout ça ouvre un débat hyper intéressant : faut-il accueillir des immigrés qui n'ont pas nos valeurs mais qui essaient de s'intégrer quand même ? Est-ce qu'on défend le droit des minorités qui ne font pas de mal mais qui sont d'extrême-droite ?

Bref, j'en parlerai bientôt en détails car y'a beaucoup de sujets à évoquer mais c'est un film auquel on pense et repense après l'avoir vu.

C'est pas juste droite vs gauche ou je ne sais quoi, ça veut justement ouvrir une discussion sur nos biais, le fait de vivre ensemble avec des cultures différentes et nos modèles de société.

"It’s been a journey for me to reconnect with Romania. I left in a very chaotic way and I’ve really tried to educate myself about the country, and I’ve found through film I can learn easier. I think that’s what art is supposed to be about, right? ... It was natural for me to try to kind of find my way to re-bond with the country through film, and who else to do it with but this man, who I’ve admired for a very long time because he has such a keen eye on what’s happening."
