Kudos to @Cinema_UK @ODEONCinemas @vuecinemas @cineworld @EmpireCinemas @ShowcaseCinemas and all the exhibitors in the #uk for #CinemaDay. Wonderful to be in a packed cinema at my local @vuecinemas. Every local site looked packed for screenings. Wonderful initiative. #cinema

A year on, a dear @CTC_cinema friend, mentor and colleague in Denis Kelly still very much in my thoughts.

@mikebradburys @nelsonchris82 I demand a sequel! It was glorious, truly beautiful and I loved every second of it.

If I could describe tonight at #cineeurope in one word it would be joyous. Utterly incredible to be reunited with colleagues, friends and peers after so long and so much hardship. Really quite emotional, I feel truly privileged. A day I’ll never forget. #cinema is back!

Looking forward to the @ECA100 slate day beginning shortly. @Gronners has put such a lot of effort in, it’ll doubtless be brilliant, even if my face unfortunately has to appear albeit fleetingly during the afternoon. Props to my @CTC_cinema colleagues for their efforts.

Out and about in sunny East London on my first customer visit in about 18 months, a new @HarknessScreens #event customer at that. With every passing day it’s starting to feel like our industries are recovering, long may it continue.

[Richard Mitchell @CinemaRich]

Loved #peterrabbit2. Well done @vuecinemas for creating a Covid-secure space with visible sanitisation procedures. Never mind the snacks, comfy seats, what I really missed was the shared experience, the sound of strangers laughing oh and the big @HarknessScreens screen obviously!

[Richard Mitchell @CinemaRich]

First time in a cinema since 2019. I don’t know who’s more excited, my 6 year old or me....

[Richard Mitchell @CinemaRich]

Wishing friends and colleagues in the #UK the very best of luck today as #cinemas finally re-open with #lockdowneasing. It’s been a torturous 14 months for our beloved industry, let’s get back to the movies and support the big screen experience. #lovecinema @CTC_cinema

@CTC_cinema A mentor, confidante and friend. Saddened by the loss of a wonderful man.

@Tom_Bert @patrickvons Me thinks that requires 2 projectors and 2 screens! We’ll take it! 😉

@dave_norris One would prefer not to be reminded of what was number one at the box office when one was born!

@DannyJeremiah I’ve got quite a few surprisingly. I’ve sat opposite Sir Michael Gambon on a flight and chatted to him through security, sat next to Frazer Hines who was a charmer, I bumped in to James May at CDG and had a selfie but my favourite - I used to be stalked by Sir Patrick Stewart.
