@TakoyakiDonuts Alas, most of us aren't in direct contact with VocaTone anymore, so it's difficult to cross-reference or offer suggestion to statements once they're posted. Apologies for the confusion.
@TakoyakiDonuts + funding went towards paying for the development of the software, i.e. paying Barham for his services.
Most of the funds acquired were in the possession of Misbah Studios, with VocaTone having free reign to request funds for their development on Maghni AI at any time.
@TakoyakiDonuts “VocaTone did not handle or have access to the funds raised through the Indiegogo campaign. The crowdfunding budget was managed by Misbah Studios and was largely allocated to Barham, the then sole-developer of the Maghni AI engine.”
All this means is that most of the +
hi yall :) i am currently one of the few remaining members of the maghni ai team. i joined the project when i was a young producer in 2021 (wow... how long its been) in the hopes of gaining some experience as DSP programming was always a field i wanted to work in.
@Cypheromotropic Please send your request to Vocatone! We've compiled all of the address adjustments up until the last month, so if it's a recent change, it's best to send it to them, so they may be able to add it to the list. Thank you for your inquiry, and best of luck with your move!
We've been silent for a while, but here's the latest update on the current development of Maghni AI. Our new team is working hard as ever to further development, but please read for all the details, including backer rewards and mandarin XLS.

+ complexity of the situation, as well as the sensitivity of what we're dealing with here, it would be in bad taste to point fingers.
I pray people will be able to read the intent in my words, despite me being unable to say much more than what's already been disclosed.
Thanks again for the warm messages, everyone. It has been an exceedingly difficult year for everyone still involved with Maghni AI, but I'm grateful the statement has been received well, for the most part.
I apologize I wasn't able to give more resolute answers, but with the +
@tonmatsudon As someone who took this project on in order to support everyone who's been here all this time after previous management left, I'm just as frustrated as our backers are, but we'll keep striving to make a vocal synthesis engine that we can all be proud of.
@tonmatsudon The funding went to where it was supposed to, but due to aforementioned circumstances, we've been funding the project out of pocket for a while now. We're doing what we can with what we have, but I apologize for the downer news regardless. It isn't fair to you guys.
@YoshiKyo99 Alas, it's something I'll need to sit down with and fully lay out once we're in a comfortable enough spot in development to release, but for now? XLS is planned -- Just relegated to what we have officially supported w/ native voicers having full priority of said language first!
Our web developer is currently out of town, but the update is complete! We'll be able to share that, as well as an XLS - Mandarin test in a week or two! Apologies for the delay, folks.
Hello!
It's been a bit since I've had the privilege of writing an update for Maghni AI's development, hasn't it? After a long couple months of unavoidable roadblocks and further restructuring, things are looking a lot better for our development team. Expect a big update soon!
@YoshiKyo99 To be honest, it's difficult; we're still working to fulfill some of the promises made by previous management, and while some of them are a bit out of our current reach, some have proceeded quite smoothly and are at the testing phase!

Despite those aforementioned roadblocks, we haven't stopped working hard on getting Maghni into a state that we can all be proud of. I can't apologize enough for the extended silence, however. Unfortunately, without delving into too many details, it was out of our hands.
