We hear many IT people are leaving the USPTO due to poor leadership. PTO implemented a program called the New Way of Working (NWOW) so that they would not have to go to congress to get reorg approval. Might be against regs and union? We have been told Debbie Stevens is in charge
It’s been over a year and nothing! Millions spent, time wasted, and now the CIO is hiring experts? I thought the CIO was the expert, and we guess schoolteacher DCIO can’t understand without help. We like the sales pitch the CIO gives anyone who will listen. Show us, don't tell us
https://t.co/hivf5QSJt2 #CIO#uspto USPTO always thinks changing the process is the key to success, but, like the corporate world, results are the real measure. Debbie has no experience delivering anything, except process. CIO, after a one year road trip, what you got?
#uspto#cio We find this laughable? Tech Exec? She is one of the main reason the previous CIOs efforts failed. Millions of fee money spent with nothing to show. What new as come out since the new Dep and CIO have come aboard. AI is pipe dream, they cant write basic working apps
In the latest #blog, Acting Deputy CIO Debbie Stephens discusses her career as a tech executive and upcoming USPTO projects such as using artificial intelligence to fuel efficiencies in patent search https://t.co/2hK3OBCGcO
Rec 100s complaints about the new CIO leadership. The CIO seems to be every where but at work. I guess the contractors are running the place. The Dep CIO is still failing as a leader, transferring old staff over to CIO to achieve even greater failure that got her trasferred

I guess the new deputy director of USPTO, Lara Peter, is on a kick to promote females regardless of skills. I am not sure how she got appointed having actually never led anything....I hope the new CIO will not turn out to be an failure like the rest.
So many of you are telling me that Debbie Stephens is now the new DCIO, and we did not believe it could get worst after Owens and Chiles. Rumors are that Patents no longer wants her and now the CIO will have a DCIO that can only micromanage and appoint other idiots that kiss her
Rumor has it that the deputy director has an affinity for Grant Thornton, we will ask the DOC IG to see if its true. In the mean time: https://t.co/SQqJAxxCq7
We are worried that USPTO leadership is asking Grant Thorton, IBM and the like to help with the restructure of CIO. However, many of us have worked with them over the years and while they can give great advice they often fail on internal IT issues. https://t.co/2iood0n83e
Rumors abound that a major reorg is on the way for the USPTO CIO. Hopefully, patents will take back Debbie Stephens and the PTO DIR will get rid of some of the Owens hold overs. Scardino is pushing for this but maybe he should look at his own org before casting stones.
The recent failure of USPTO PALM database is a direct result of John Owens, Tony Chiles and Pam Isom's incompetency. This time Owens cannot blame a power failure
Why is Scardino still serving as the Dep Dir for USPTO, a job he does not meet any of the qualifications to hold? Perhaps Scardino should look to fix his own shop, his shop seems to be incapable of simple contracting and purchasing efforts. More to come as we investigate the CFO
Rumor has it that Director Iancu will re-advertise the CIO job, because his staff failed to provide him a list of qualified candidates. Allegedly and unbelievably, Pam Isom and David Chiles were in the top 3 for the job. Scardino must want his puppets? Iancu decided wisely!
Confirmed: Pam Isom is leaving PTO. Now to get rid of some of the idiots she promoted or hired. Hopefully Debbie Stephens can help with this duty. We are pretty sure David Chiles will keep everything in place if selected as CIO.
Rumors are flying that Pam Isom, an infamous hire of John Ownes and Tony Chiles, is leaving. Reportedly going to DOE, we give her 6 months. No news of the new CIO but we are expecting an announcement any day now. CIO staff seems to be embracing the arrival of Debbie Stephens. GL
PTO is sending Patent SES (David Wiley) back to Patents and bringing another (Debbie Stephens) to serve as the DCIO for a couple of months, this sounds odd? Rumors are flying about a new CIO selection but nothing official. Wiley seemed to be well thought of, Stephens not sure?
