Have I ever mentioned how much I love Nat Reeve’s NETTLEBLACK books? Well dear reader, in case you were in any doubt, I ABSOLUTELY ADORE them! Was over the moon to finally meet Nat tonight and hear him discuss his wonderful novels alongside the equally wonderful Emma Hinds.

[BlackwellsManchester @BlackwellsMcr]

I was so busy grinning at the excellent readings by Emma Hinds and Nat Reeve tonight that I barely took any photos. This more than makes up for it - look at these literary rock stars! A fab event perfectly chaired by Hannah of @apairofbookends podcast!

Happy publication day to Nat Reeve and their brilliant new novel EARLYFATE! Following on from the events in shop favourite NETTLEBLACK, it’s a delightfully queer Victorian romp featuring the most wonderful cast of characters! The perfect read for these long Autumn nights!

[David Coates @OziasMidwinter]

Maledizione! I hope the residents of Romiley are prepared to hear me banging on about these books from now until Christmas!

[Turnaround UK @turnarounduk]

When their chaotic lover is kidnapped, cravat merchant Pip Property must team with their nemesis, the Dallyangle Division, to find her. A queer, neo-Victorian romp from the author of Nettleblack!

What are our experiences of true stories? Author So Mayer scrutinizes our own levels of reality when we're looking to distinguish between writing that's classified as 'fiction' or 'non-fiction'.

Is it possible to have our cake and eat it?

4. @hangsawoman's novels provoke very animated discussions on the shop floor, and if you haven't read the terrifying Tell Me I'm Worthless or the disgustingly prescient Brainwyrms, well: you're in for a real treat. Content warnings are there for a reason, kids!

Look what’s here!!!! Fresh from the printer. Officially out on the 24th

If you’re looking for a big, delicious queer novel to get cosy with this autumn, this is the one!
