it’s important to note that when God’s voice was heard by the disciples on the mountain of the Transfiguration and they lie prostrate out of fear, Jesus touches them, asking them to not be afraid, and they look up, seeing only Christ there bc Christ is the Way
we need not look elsewhere -- only at Him without fear
Please pray for me to gain real DIRECTION in my life, for me to EXERT MYSELF in my work, for me to spend more time in the BIBLE with the Lord, and to get onto whatever life I am meant to be in.
We could have done many things in our former lives that gave the demons license to operate. Being involved in the occult, being from a line of freemasons, drugs etc.
Once we are born again we are made new. But those demons don't just leave. They become squatters, they have no right to be in you anymore yet they remain. You need deliverance. Prayers, fasting, laying of hands etc.
The Spiritual World works like a court, or the legal system. Deliverance serves the demons with the eviction notice legally required for them to vacate the premises, ie your life.
So if you been born again, and are still dealing with paranormal activity, addictions, depression, despair, its likely that you are carrying some unwanted guests that need to be given the boot. These only come out by prayer, fasting, and the laying of the hands by elders in some cases.
As I mature, I'm further recognizing the frivolousness of waging war against my nature, as opposed to simply developing virtues that compensate for the things I would previously try to eradicate
For example, it would be impossible for me to pray away my lust, but I can pray for temperance and greater self control
I cannot stop despairing thoughts from coming into my mind at the troughs of dire times, but I can pray for an undying hope and an increase in fortitude
I cannot pretend that my very nature will one day fundamentally change - only a fool would be convinced so, but I can develop virtues that turn my weaknesses and would-be pitfalls into strengths, into the means to growth
When I've asked the Lord for strength, He has never failed me, never once not delivered
When I've asked the Lord for hope, He has never once let me wallow for too long in my despair
When I've asked the Lord for wisdom, He has never once hid it far from me, for if I looked, it was there
When I've asked the Lord for comfort, He has never once abandoned me, for I found all I ever need in Him
I want you to stop underestimating yourself and discounting God’s desire to make your life wonderful
KNOW that you are capable
TRUST that He wills your ultimate good
We are a threat...
Firstly, we know the tactics of the enemy. He prowls around like a lion waiting for someone to devour. The only reason the enemy is prowling around our camps is because we are a threat.
There is something you do not see yet that God is leading you into, but the demons see it clearly. They are afraid of you taking the next step. This is the number one reason I'm under attack on this platform (and irl but I'm not giving that voice) constantly.
Satan comes after our minds because if he can get our sights off Jesus and onto problems we will miss what God is trying to lead us into. And while the Kingdom of Heaven is guaranteed for those who believe and confess there are rewards at stake here that are easily lost through one's own hubris, disobedience, pride, etc.
Stay in God's will and you'll go the distance.
You don't have to figure out the how but...
God controls the universe.
God controls the economy.
God controls finances.
God controls your enemies.
The Scripture says God caused Pharaoh to harden his heart.
When you remember who you are...
God will cause the things to happen
God will heal your ilness
God controls the number of your days
God causes you to overcome more powerful enemies
This is not your battle. The how is not up to you. The battle is the Lord's.
Today, I was visiting with a brother. This friend calls himself a Christian, but doesn't always act like it. Some days he’s on fire for the Lord, and other days life's struggles seem to get the best of him. So, as our eyes met, I really wanted to say something about it to him, but decided to just let the Lord speak to his heart, knowing nothing I could say would ever have the impact that the Lord making Himself real in his heart would make.
So I prayed with him. And after some time passed, I winked at him...
and walked away from the mirror…
@BryceEternal Praise the Lord that he is merciful and extends his grace to us in times of weakness. I promise, you aren't alone in your struggle. Keep your eyes on him and we'll get through this.
Matthew 11:28-30
Either sin must drown, or the soul must burn. The mercy of God does not excuse sin, it delivers from it. Neither does it manage sin, it empowers you to rule over it.
“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” - Romans 6:24.
The spirit of Christ is incompatible with satisfaction in sin. Sin must give way for His reign or you risk grieving the Lord. If you find yourself at ease in your rebellion, this may signal judgment over you.
Overcoming sin is the fruit of continued yieldedness to the means of grace provided by God. Stop looking inward as though there is any strength in you, and find every avenue that places you before the blazing light of God’s presence.
Any such idea that makes you at peace with sin, will keep you perpetually at war with God. This God that has called us to Himself dwells in holiness. There is no way to engage with the Lord or to be within His perfect will outside of this.
You've got to fight for the unbelieving through prayer. Plead with God to send them a sign, a dream, a vision, whatever it may take to awaken them. Today is the day of salvation.
When spirits attack you in the open this is a chance for God to be glorified, because even though everyone saw it, they will also see His response and your justification. You don’t have to do anything. Just pray and be still.
Don’t you dare ever give up the fight. Saints in heaven are cheering you on and angels are making a way through the darkness. Keep pushing. Don’t change a single thing. Focus Cross.
Your fight is in heavenly places.
The reason you're having spiritual turbulence is because you're trying to fight the devil in his atmosphere and his comfort zone. Change the battleground; if you can change the battleground, you can change the atmosphere.
Invite Christ into the equation. Take your fight into the heavenly places.
