Yesterday one of the gr. 12 boys came in & I realized that I hadn't seen him yet this week and asked, "Where have you been?" He told me without missing a beat, "Narnia." Love these kids!

Why do students seem so nonplused when I tell them that "No. They library does not have any iPhone chargers. And, no, I don't have one they can borrow either."? Sheesh!

It feels like I spent all day teaching grade 10s how to send docs from a desktop to the printer. Most of 'em can't even power on the computer. *sigh*

Yesterday I discovered that my advice actually helped a student. He had to read a novel & doesn't really enjoy reading. I had suggested that he borrow a copy of the audiobook and read along with it. He told me doing that made him feel like he was actually in the story! Success!
