This is what #SupremCourt did in SLP filed by @pinarayivijayan :
✅ Restored appeals before Kerala HC Division Bench
✅Stayed investigation for 10 days
❌ No interference in ECIR registered.
Hands of the Constitutional Courts are not tied.. !
A very interesting observation that will be quoted by many lawyers in many cases in present political context.

Das and Ranka give an undertaking to the SEM Court that they will not call for any protest at Jantar Mantar till it remains a denotified protest site.
They also state that they will not commit any breach of peace and that they have "full faith in the judiciary and all its instruments including the learned SEM Court."
Delhi HC asked to explain maintainability of Writ Petition when there's a straight statutory remedy under BNSS.
Instead of answering that, the petitioner-lawyer sought withdrawal.
Perhaps, he should have answered that and many lawyers do successfully convince the Court on this point.
It is quite strange that a petition was withdrawn when judge merely questioned the maintainability.
We repeat, the judge did not decide anything. He just questioned maintainability of the petition and it is quite normal thing a judge does to a petition like this.
What looked strange was withdrawal!
We watched the full hearing.
The GenZ age remark was a casual one and such exchange between bar and bench is quite normal in many cases.
The judge questioned the counsel on merits of the matter and gave him time to seek instructions. Then he suddenly withdrew the plea.
According to us, he should have answered the questions instead of withdrawing.

SUPREME COURT A “SUPREME FAILURE”. PUNISH ME FOR CONTEMPT FOR SAYING THIS. WILL ACCEPT IT AS BIGGEST AWARD IN MY POLITICAL CAREER: M A BABY (CPIM GEN SECY, EX-MP & LEAD SC PETITIONER IN PROTESTS CLAMPDOWN CASE)
Lead SC petitioner in pleas against clampdown on protests, metro, railway, internet shutdown Ex MP and CPIM Gen Secy M A Baby tells a Malayalam channel: “What I want to say about Supreme Court is … the manner in which the court is currently discharging its responsibilities will force many to say that India’s Supreme Court of today is a SUPREME FAILURE. I want that what I said just now should be translated and sent to the Supreme Court judges …IF THE SUPREME COURT TAKES COGNIZANCE OF THIS STATEMENT OF MINE AND DECIDES TO PUNISH ME FOR CONTEMPT OF COURT, I WILL ACCEPT IT AS THE BIGGEST AWARD I GOT IN MY POLITICAL CAREER SO FAR”.
Comments are surprising as when he filed petitions challenging several curbs and clampdown, lockdown in Delhi by authorities to thwart protests against CEC Gyanesh Kumar on SIR issue SC had granted slew of reliefs
--When Mr. Baby filed the petition on October 9, 2026 CJI took on board the matter and passed orders on urgent mentioning by his lawyer Kapil Sibal despite the case not being in the day’s case list
--Hearing his petition, CJI Bench said “absolute prohibition” on metro services and arrival of trains at New Delhi statition and Hazrat Nizamuddin amounted to “overreach”
---SC ordered lifting of internet shutdown during protests
--SC asked police to ensure smooth traffic by reducing number of barricading
--SC directed no inconvenience should be caused to general public in any manner
--SC ordered preservation of all CCTV footage and digital evidence vis-à-vis complaints of excesses during protests
