The defense has rested in the trial of State vs. Happy. There have been no rebuttal witnesses. There will be a hearing shortly to put together jury instructions. Closing arguments will begin Tuesday at 9 a.m.

Highway 62 in Windom at Island Park has now reopened to traffic.

River Road/County Road 13 near the Perkins Creek bridge has reopened to traffic. Drivers should use caution as the road is covered with dried mud and may have other debris as well.

Flood debris drop off site at Windom Area HS will be open Sunday from 8:00 am until noon, or until full. County landfill also will be open 8am until noon Sunday.
