Anybody know what parsitoid this may be? GWSS egg mass with multiple exit holes for each egg. Gonatocerus ashmeadi is typically one per egg. Have not been able collect and rear these for ID. Anagrus sp?
@opcitex But.. once they show up they can really devour a population in short order. We can release Rhyzobius in hotspots before the fruit is encrusted to eliminate the natural delay in that spontaneous arrival.
@gautamsandipa@citrusbugman It is curious that when new chemistry is introduced it is extremely effective (sometimes multiple seasons) at controlling the target. But within a few years efficacy is notably reduced. Bioassay shows no resistance. As easy as it could be to blame the applicator, I can't.
@citrusbugman@gautamsandipa That seems to be quite common with how we test for resistance. Is it possible that failure of a material in the field is more likely due to the ability of the target pest to detect and avoid the toxin?
This statement assumes that all citrus growing regions are equally good environs for both ACP and #HLB. It has become all too easy to say "it only takes one, just spray it".
@moniquejrivera Target the ACP nymphs and eggs. Maybe look at brown lacewing and green lacewing to see if the feeding done by the adult browns make them more effective than the green once they become vegan adults.π

Similar observations here in Calif. Populations started building when annual applications of soil and/or foliar systemics became part of the "program".
The amount of citrus red scale on the wood is huge in some orchards. All the stages are present at the time. How to decide the second generation here? By the way, the absence of parasitism by Aphytis sp. is total here.
