The TSUNAMI ADVISORY for Ventura County was lifted at 5:19 AM on July 30, 2025. However, residents are advised to remain vigilant, as higher-than-normal tidal surges may continue along the coastline over the next 24 hours.
A Tsunami Advisory has been issued by the National Tsunami Warning Center for the U.S. west coast from an 8.7 earthquake, 80 miles off the east coast of Russia. Based on the current information being provided by the National Tsunami Warning Center, there is no immediate danger. The current forecast for Ventura County is indicating the possibility of increased wave activity beginning at 1:00AM less than 1 foot.
