Another great Bike with a Mayor in @CityofSolon with Mayor Eddy Kraus. We started these rides 3 years ago @CuyahogaCounty with mayors & residents to promote awareness for cycling infrastructure. Itโs working and now getting built. 60 more miles of trails planned in next 5 years!
๐ง Water Main Break โ Miles Parkway & Naiman Rd
Crews are responding to a water main break near Miles and Naiman Parkway.
As a result, the following roads are closed:
๐ซ Brainerd Rd
๐ซ Miles Rd
Warrensville Heights is also closing Miles Rd at Richmond Rd.
Please avoid the area and seek alternate routes. We'll update you as soon as we know more.
If you need to access any businesses in the closed off area of Solon Rd, come from the Bainbridge Rd side, not SOM Center. Kruse Drive can still only be accessed via Bainbridge Rd. You can get thru the Solon/ Kruse intersection.
Solon Road will be closed in both directions between SOM Center Road and Bainbridge Road. A pole came down and it is a hazard. Kruse Drive can only be accessed from the Bainbridge Road side. We will update when clear.
๐ง Miles Road Waterline Replacement โ Construction Starting Tomorrow!
Terrace Construction will begin the Miles Road Watermain Replacement Project tomorrow, July 6. The new watermain will be installed along the centerline of Miles Road, running from just west of Naiman Parkway to just east of the Harper Road intersection. The project is expected to take approximately 4 months to complete.
Here's what to expect:
Water service will remain on during construction. You'll be notified in advance if your individual service needs to be briefly transferred.
Traffic between Naiman Pkwy and Brainard Rd will be ONE WAY WESTBOUND ONLY. Between Brainard Rd and Harper Rd, one lane in each direction will be maintained.
Driveway access will be maintained except when work is directly in front of your home.
Trash, mail, and school bus service will not be disrupted.
Please slow down, be patient, and use alternate routes when possible. Questions? Contact Orange Village Engineer Brian Mader at 216-731-6255.
