@CeriEverett@DeRushaJ Odd how different the experiences can be! I breeze through PreCheck, but even if the line was similar in length, I enjoy the lighter-touch security.
@DeRushaJ@CeriEverett I’ve heard about PreCheck having longer lines from many people online and it’s just not something I’ve ever experienced. At MSP I’ve never waited more than maybe 5 minutes? Usually it’s under 1. Always been quick at other airports too. 🤷🏼♂️
@AIsakovic1@StatisticUrban@hecubian_devil That may be the case, but Cassie is a socialist. So if she has a critique of liberalism, we’d assume she has a response as to how socialism fixes that critique. Alas, she has not espoused it.
@yumtapwater@s0phistry I swear back in 2020ish I read an article that compared St. Paul and Minneapolis regarding encampments. STP was much quicker to shut them down before they ever grew, so there was never the big showdowns. I assume they do a lot that prevents issues that goes under the radar.
@plattMSP The Hennepin County Board has plenty of cringe, but are they not respected and generally competent? Fernando aside, it’s a pretty buttoned-up bunch. And unlike Minneapolis, there are hissy fits regularly happening at meetings.
@finelylesberg@GeminiSentry I resonate a lot with this. My family was decently well off, my mom came from working class and my dad grew up UMC but eschewed a lot of those values. So a lot of high school, college, and early career was figuring out things my economic peers knew from the beginning.
@Wilson__Valdez@Gunslinger018@magi_jay It's actually worse. It's a bunch of 22-year-old Eurotwinks who have strong opinions about even local American races. It's bizarre.
@yimbyism Why limit yourself to the total buying power of someone in Mexico? Seems arbitrary. Why not South Sudan? Surely there's someone there working harder than you are here in the US.
@lydiakauppi Neera's critique is a bit weird, but usually when talking about being "culturally conservative," it's referring to cultural issues - abortion, gay marriage, trans rights, etc. - not M4A. "Big gov programs and moderate on social stuff" has gotta be the most common voter type.
