@MunroStrategy Huh. That's interesting. By filtering out all people who have had some interaction with the police, we will never hear first-hand about police interactions.
@MunroStrategy Instead, we have a survey being directed towards "diverse" voices in the community asking us if we know anyone who associates with a gang.
@MunroStrategy And that's a fair critique.
I mentioned the lack of questions as a way to highlight that unlike other municipalities, it appeared that WE was not going to address systemic racism as a focus of action from the police and social sectors. I should have explained that more fully.
Last week I wrote the WPS Board asking how the WPS budget could be made public. I was told that the Board had already asked WPS administration to provide a more detailed budget for public release and that more info would hopefully be available at a forthcoming meeting. #ygq
