Millions of animals are cruelly exported overseas each year.
We’ve written to the @WOAH, urging them to put animal welfare at the heart of the upcoming revision of live transport guidelines & to #BanLiveExports.

“There’s been a huge increase [in emissions], and it’s simply because there are so many more livestock now.”

HONESTY IN THE SUPERMARKET AISLE: WHAT’S REALLY BEHIND THE FIGHT OVER FOOD LABELLING?
Consumers deserve to know whether the chicken, pork or dairy product they are buying comes from animals reared outdoors or confined indoors
They deserve labels that reflect reality, not marketing imagery of rolling green fields that may bear little relation to how those sentient animals lived

We were in Brussels today with @Anima_Int and the #EndTheCageAge coalition. We erected a cage to mark the five-year anniversary of the Commission’s unfulfilled commitment to ban cages for farmed animals. /1
Under a banner reading “Uncage the legislation, MEPs attending the event took bolt cutters to the cage in a symbolic demand that the Commission finally act for the nearly 300 million pigs, hens, rabbits, ducks, quail and geese in cages in the EU every year. /3
@EU_Commission "This isn’t just a broken promise - it’s a failure for democracy, for the 1.4 million citizens who signed our European Citizens’ Initiative calling to End the Cage Age."
- Charlotte Reid, our Deputy Director of Global Campaigns Policy & Advocacy
Today we will be in Brussels with @Anima_intl & partners to urge @EU_Commission to stop delaying and finally end cages

We join our Global CEO @philip_ciwf in paying tribute to our Patron, Dame Penelope Keith.
We are enormously grateful for her support, compassion and commitment to farmed animals.
Our thoughts are with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
So very sad to hear of the passing of our dear @ciwf Patron Dame Penelope Keith.
We so appreciate all of her support in speaking out for a better life for farmed animals.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are with her family at this difficult time.
As a long-standing member of @Act4AnimalsEU, we look forward to continuing to work closely together to create a future where all animals are treated with compassion.
He took up the role in 2020, and his reappointment reflects his longstanding commitment to advancing animal welfare, transforming food systems and building collaboration across the movement.
According to the EAT-Lancet report, our food system is pushing our planet to the limit.
Change is possible: the Good Food for All ECI calls on the @EU_Commission to transform food production & support sustainable diets.

The Government consulted on phasing out cages for laying hens, now we need to see the results published and legislation introduced!
All this week we've been in the Houses of Parliament to make our voices heard.

The conflict in Iran is exposing how fragile our food system is. Many farmers rely on synthetic fertiliser, which is skyrocketing in price.
Agroecological farmers offer a solution - building fertile soils with compost, manure, grazing & cover crops.
