Featured cover of Blade Mag May 2017. I make handmade, custom knives - meant to be used and still look good! Proudly made in USA. Christian husband and father.
Here's a knife last year. The knife is a hand forged blade from 1084 steel. I forged this blade from a scrap piece of steel that I had laying around. Turned out pretty good to have come from a piece that would’ve been thrown away as garbage otherwise. Nickel silver guard, stack of nickel silver, copper, black and red micarta and a stainless steel pin. Finished with a nice piece of Sambar stag.

I made a lot of progress on this one last night. I'd say it's about 90% done. There's still some small scratches that need to be sanded out on the handle and then I'll do my finish sanding on the blade before I get started on the sheath. I'm really digging the handle on this!
@gannotti I love Bob Seger. We played "Like a Rock" at my grandfather's funeral because he was our hero and he was solid like a rock to us and for us. So much of the song applies to the man he was.
Night Moves ain't a bad song either though 😉😁
@gannotti Thank you sir! I'm still learning and always trying to improve my forging skills. I'm getting better and I really enjoy it but I still want to keep growing and learning and getting better!
Got a little forge time over the last few days. I'm still learning. I'm pretty proud of these. Forged by hand from bar stock. It's a lot of work to take square bar stock and make the curve of the blade, the point of the blade and stretch out what will be the tang of the knife.
