The fact we’re talking about hopeful with no actual injury designation is a fucking issue. If he’s hurt he’s hurt it is what it is. But the fact no one can really say what the injury or issue is really is the problem #DaBears#Bears
Poles also said they continue to have no timetable on a return for CB Kyler Gordon.
He also said he’s not sure if Gordon will play for the #Bears this year. He said he’s hopeful but that’s it.
This whole situation continues to be weird AF.
I really don’t like that every #Bears roster move that People like is credited to Coach Johnson, while every move they disagree with is blamed on Ryan Poles.
Can’t have it both ways.
You know, the People who are like, “This is clearly Coach Johnson’s team, he’s calling all the shots!”, then when the team makes a move they don’t like it’s, “What the hell is Ryan Poles doing??”.
I don’t think there’s a reason to overthink this. Gervon Dexter wanted a second contract and he wasn’t going to get it from the Bears — who started to see more in Jordan van den Berg, Jaden Loving and even Kentavius Street. It happens. The rookies started to show more and more.
The Cubs have designated Hoby Milner for assignment, per @Feinsand.
He posted a 3.53 ERA across 35.2 IP for the team before going on the IL after having surgery for appendicitis.
The #Colts have waived CB Mekhi Blackmon, a former 3rd-round pick of the #Vikings who they traded for last year.
He appeared in all 17 games for Indianapolis last season, starting 11, and recorded 2 INTs, 64 tackles, and 7 pass breakups.
The NFL and NFLPA have announced that players who commit 3 violations in any of these categories in a season will be suspended 1 game:
• Hip-drop tackle
• Horse-collar tackle
• Launching
• Hit on a defenseless player
• Blindside block
All players will begin 2026 with a clean slate, though violations will carry over into future seasons.
Cubs will have to make a decision on LHP Hoby Milner in next few days with 30-day window for his rehab assignment coming to an end.
Will be interesting to see what the Cubs do. They have only three optionable relievers in their bullpen right now: Zeferjahn, Palencia and Rolison.
I think the issue for Dex has always been the get off. DA has been clear about wanting to be faster and he just doesn’t get off the ball. Can be productive once he gets going. Think they’re going to use Dayo and maybe Davenport some inside with Garret and JVB #DaBears#Bears
Sources: The #Bears have had trade discussions involving DT Gervon Dexter, and there are multiple scenarios where a deal could get done sending him to a new team.
Dexter, still just 24 years old, started all 17 games last season and has 13.5 career sacks and 42 QB hits. He’s in the final year of his rookie contract.
Not bad but missed opportunity. Love the orange pants but would’ve went block numbers no outline. Would’ve also gone with the primary bear logo on the lid as opposed to the C. Also will the Polar Bear unis ever happen? Would’ve been perfect for an Xmas game #DaBears#Bears
Too much talent with too little results from Cabrera. Has all the tools but doesn’t really know how to pitch or set up hitters to chase out of the zone. Would rather see Peterson start and let Cabrera throw in relief and let it eat around 100 and you take your chances #Cubs
