My 91 year old dad was switched from eliquis to xaralto by insurance, and xaralto prevents you from getting Paxlovid if you get coronavirus, whereas eliquis does not. This is outrageous in the vulnerable population of elderly heart patients!

@NBCNews NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt has been tagged as offensive for April 14 on YouTube. I stream it from my phone to my elderly father's TV so he can watch. There is no option on his remote that will allow us to confirm that we are OK to watch it, so it's been blocked for us.

@_beccaharrison My Cornell senior son is also living alone in Ithaca for Christmas, while his family is in Seattle. You cheer me up with your posts, as you make me like we are not alone in this situation. It's sad for all of us but better than traveling and risking getting the virus.

@londyloo Similar problem in my town with the SAT and applying to college. It's "optional", but it can strengthen an application. Local high schools don't want to offer it because it may be cancelled due to COVID. Some kids can drive 4 hours to it, others can't.

@jennycohn1 I just drove 1500 miles from Seattle to Phoenix to get my 89 year old dad out of assisted living where 14 have been infected and 3 have died so far. I am lucky in that he does not require too much care. He is low vision and a tiny bit mentally fuzzy.
