@LateLagMC @Rosespikes @Vazkii @madded__ Slower, more spaced updates weren't "holding back" vanilla in the past, and they wouldn't now. But foregoing them in favor of frequent minor changes just makes the already obscenely difficult task of making mods for this game just THAT MUCH harder.

@LateLagMC @Rosespikes @Vazkii @madded__ Changes are frequently made to vanilla with little or no consideration for the effects they will have on the modding community. It's easy to just say that "it doesn't matter" because it doesn't affect you. And criticizing mods for being broken my Mojang's changes is pretty silly.

@ShyNieke @Vazkii I'm not opposed to criticizing their decisions, I do all the time, but Jesus christ the amount of entitled whining that accompanies every single update is exhausting to just watch, not to mention being the subject of it.

I'm not opposed to new features, I've enjoyed all the recent ones, but I'd rather they come after a major refinement of the existing game.

I also mean poorly or inconsistently implemented features, unwieldy UI, or just unfun game design. I adore this Frankenstein's monster of a game, but the scars of its evolution really show.

Every single feature that is added is done "instead of fixing their game," so pointing to a specific feature and saying, "if they weren't spending time on this, surely they'd have fixed these bugs by now!" is just silly.

@VazkiiMods Ooh ooh, building on this, would you consider adding a recipe for Orange Dye + Black Dye = Brown Dye? It is so frequently infuriating that one of the games base colors is gated behind the most notoriously obscure and un-findable biome, the Jungle.
